One thing that I really enjoy and get inspiration from right now is Instagram.
It is so easy make pictures look nice and upload them. I was in the US for a family reunion this summer and I uploaded a bunch of photos from places we visited so friends and family could see what we were up to.
Another thing I like about Instagram is the differnt challenges you can take part in. For example, in March to July I participated in #genealogyphotoaday (by GenealogyGirlTalks). You get a theme for everyday and you post a photo on that theme, put in the hashtag #genealogyphotoaday and perhaps write a short story about the photo you uploaded to make it a bit more interesting. It is a great way to find and connect with others having the same interest and ofcourse get some inspiration both from the theme of the day and looking at what other people post. The photo above is on the theme beach. My grandfather Erik Berlin took that picture in the 1940s and I found it recently scanning his old negatives. Another day the theme was camera so I posted a photo of the equipment he used.
Thanks to the #genealogyphotoaday I found some interesting people to follow and thanks to that I found out about another challenge I find inspiring, #vintagesummerchallenge by anneliesvanoverbeek and faces_and_style that I will participate and follow now in August together with the #genealogyphotoaday.
So, see you on Instragram? You will find me at: lindakvist.
